We're a publicly-traded specialty foodservice distributor (NASDAQ: HFFG) whose core business is serving independent restaurants the way independents deserve to be served — with curated product, multilingual reps, and the personal touch the giants gave up on.

Our story

From one warehouse in North Carolina to a national network.

HF Foods didn't start as a national distributor. It started as a single regional specialty operator — Han Feng, in Greensboro, North Carolina — founded by people who understood that an independent restaurant deserves a distributor who shows up.

Decades later, we are sixteen operating companies under one public company, serving every contiguous state. The scale is national. The operating philosophy hasn't changed.

  1. 1997

    Han Feng founded

    Our oldest operating company, Han Feng Inc., is founded in Greensboro, North Carolina — supplying independent restaurants in the Southeast.

  2. 2000s

    Regional buildout

    A new generation of regional specialty distributors emerges across the country — the operators who would later combine to form HF Foods Group.

  3. 2018

    NASDAQ listing

    HF Foods Group Inc. begins trading publicly on NASDAQ under the ticker HFFG.

  4. 2019

    B&R Global merger

    A transformative combination with B&R Global Holdings adds West Coast scale and brings the network into all 48 contiguous states.

  5. Today

    A national specialty distributor

    Sixteen operating subsidiaries delivering to thousands of independent restaurants nationwide — same operating philosophy as the day Han Feng opened in Greensboro.

    Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Spanish. Whatever language your kitchen runs in, we have a rep who runs in it too.

    We negotiate hard, but never on the part that lands on the plate. Quality fails are someone else’s problem — they shouldn’t be yours.

    Our customer portal and mobile app give operators the catalog, ordering, and reorder list — built around how a kitchen actually works.
